Business Analyst at the Swedish Armed Forces

The Swedish Armed Forces is now seeking a temporary position as a Business Analyst at our headquarters in Stockholm. Here you will have a unique opportunity to contribute to strengthening the Armed Forces' supply capability by analyzing and identifying risks in our commercial supply chains.

About the Department of Business and Supply Management

You will work in the Department of Business and Supply Management at the Armed Forces' headquarters. Our task is to support, direct, lead, and follow up on the commercial operations of the Armed Forces at all levels of readiness, both nationally and internationally. From the beginning of 2026, the department will also be responsible for directing and following up on the entire supply chain. The department will consist of a management team, a staff function, and four sections. As a Business Analyst, you will be part of the strategy and analysis section, which consists of ten people.

Main Responsibilities

• Monitoring and following up on trends, threats, and deviations in commercial supply chains
• Working cross-functionally to identify supply risks
• Participating in the development of methods and approaches for environmental analysis within commercial supply
• Compiling and analyzing large amounts of data
• Supporting cross-functional projects regarding the development of supply and purchasing strategies
• Generating alternative supply solutions to ensure secure supply chains
• Working within the framework of NSPA

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Academic degree in economics, logistics, industrial economics, or equivalent education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Very good knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience working with purchasing strategies and supply chains at a strategic level within the Armed Forces (manage, lead, and follow up).

Desirable

• Experience in category-driven purchasing
• Experience working with NATO's procurement agency NSPA
• Experience working and driving cross-functional work in large organizations with multiple decision-makers.

Employment type: Temporary position starting in May 2026 and lasting for a maximum of 10 months, with a possible extension.
